Summary of Review

You don’t go to Hooters for the burger. But if you’re there, and you have the urge for a burger or don’t want the stomach acid that accompanies a basket full of three-alarm wings, they have a pretty good cheeseburger to fill that bill.

Let’s face it. You don’t typically go to Hooters for the burgers. Their specialty is Hot Wings. Some obscure bar in Buffalo, New York, may get credit for inventing them, but Hooters can take the lion’s share of the credit for making them an international phenomenon.

And if you aren’t at Hooters for the wings, you’re probably there for the pretty waitresses, scantily clad in tiny shorts, and low cut t-shirts. But notwithstanding the Hooters reputation for these two things, they do offer burgers.

And with the extra points we give for pretty waitresses they scored good enough on service and ambiance to make it into the list of Top 5 restaurants serving burgers in Bogotá, despite a barely better than average burger.

The burger was, well, a burger. Better than McDonald’s. The curly fries were, well, curly fries.

So, to summarize, you don’t go to Hooters for the burger. But if you’re there, and you have the urge for a burger or don’t want the stomach acid that accompanies a basket full of three-alarm wings, they have a pretty good cheeseburger to fill that bill.
